4 years since we welcomed our “last baby” who I so 4 years since we welcomed our “last baby” who I somehow knew, the moment she arrived, was actually meant to be our middle. A little bit spicy keeping up with her big sister, and a whole lot of sweet as she nurtures and teaches her little one. My middle baby didn’t get the brand-new version of me or the calm(er), seasoned one either. She got the mom who was in the middle too — learning to divide her attention, stretch her patience, and grow her confidence all at once. There’s something special about the middle. It’s where chaos meets perspective, where experience meets grace, and where I learned to mother with both hands full. The middle isn’t “in between”.
