Children can count the dots on each half of a domino, roll and record two dice, or choose and glue two number cards to create the parts of a number bond before combining them to determine the whole.

The Counting Cube Cards offer another way to explore part-part-whole relationships by reversing the number bond. Children count the entire cube tower to determine the whole, then count the cubes of each color to break that whole into its two parts.
